Back in the Saddle

Yesterday while walking on the beach in St. Augustine, Florida for our first family vacation in a very long time the blog got brought up and we wondered how long it had been since we had written here.  I can't believe that it has been 21 months since Lily last posted.

We are drawn back to this old city, the oldest city in America where in places it feels as if time stood still.  A blending of the old and new, the relaxing and action packed days.  Days to sit back and enjoy the sun on our faces while we lay listening to our girls laugh and splash at the pool as the sound of the waves from the ocean crash in the background.

This isn't our first time here.  Dust and I adventured here just this last March. After our marital separation and then experiencing restoration in our marriage this place gave us time to be together.  Strolling the historical streets day after day we felt connected and wanted to share it with our daughters.

Today is Thanksgiving-2012.  We had our own Thanksgiving dinner just the four of us. Sharing what each of us were thankful for in this last year.  We all agreed that having a new house that we purchased in August was at the top of our list after being a child of God-loved, forgiven and redeemed.

Thank you for being on this journey with us! Here is to another five days of vacation and adventures!
